Fifty years ago my grandfather introduced me to the magic of photography when we developed a roll of black and white film and printed the images in his home darkroom. Combining the science of chemicals, cameras, and light, with the art of composition, color and contrast has fascinated me since.

In the last few years I finally found the passion (and time!) to attempt to learn this craft and progressed slowly until I enrolled in the Photo Artistry Courses offered by Sebastian Michaels. His incredible training and tremendous inspiration have enabled me to once again find joy and magic in what has now become the digital darkroom.

I am on a perpetual journey to transition from photo hobbyist to photo artist. I don't yet know my destination, but I will take a lot of pictures along the way!
