My boy can shoot! This is the only Mexican in the universe who shoots the underbelly of New York better and more affectionately than any New Yorker, ever. His eye loves what everyone else passes over: the grime and the garbage and the ephemera (tags, signs, Sharpie'd adverts, et al.). He says photography is a far second to his artwork, but they're intimately connected - even dependent - and I think he could Own This with both.
