What was started as Groove Armada's itinerent but London based DJ club residency has grown into London's only true "festival", celebrating as it does the rich diversity of amazing musical talent around as well as recognising key infleunces from days gone by that continue to shape today's scene. While Groove Armada are still at the heart of Lovebox, checking out new music to showcase, the Weekender is now made up of a bunch of people turning each other on to new and old bands, DJs and musical styles, be it folk, hip hop, indie, disco-punk, rock, world or electronic music. It's very much a case of the whole being "greater than the sum of the parts"...
