"People say photographs don't lie, mine do."

Back in the summer of 2009 I began to obsess about photography, spending hours stumbling through the internet looking at every type of photograph available. In October 2009 I took the plunge and bought myself a Canon 1000D and started a 365 Self Portrait Project. It was an extremely challenging project, but I am proud to be a self taught photographer who has, I feel, grown enormously since I first began. I specialise mainly on extreme make-up photography, using colourful and bold body paint to create striking pieces of art.

How has Lauren not got pages and pages of testimonials?? I'm most astounded!! Ok, so I've known Lauren for quite a while now- I think I stumbled across her and realised she lives really close to me- and then discovered we (sort of) work for the same company :) I've met up with Lauren several times and she is so sweet in real life! Lauren should be a photographer. Or a face painter for Vogue. Her skill is unmatched on flickr- its hard to think most of her stream is shot in her bedroom! If I didn't know I would think she had some pro set-up as a full studio. Her skill in post-production is amazing, and no two images are ever the same which I think is a testiment to her imagination. Even her travel/documentary shots are interesting and look like they belong in a book. I really hope one day soon she realises how inspired her gift is and uses it to paint the world with :) Love you Lady! XXXXX
Read lessLauren is a master of re-inventing form. She seems to instinctively work with the textures and shapes in materials and evolves them into something beyond the simple.
Lauren is one of my favorite new finds here on flickr. She doesn't have the hugest stream yet, but her creativity is outstanding. Her conceptual shots are different than most I've seen on here, and I think she deserves some more avid followers. Check out her stream. You'll dig this chick, of that I'm sure!
