and thanks for dropping by. Your visits are most appreciated! Feel free to browse my collections, sets or tags, and for a nifty alternative to the flickr stream I recommend these flash galleries here and here. Lastly, please check out my wee groups Carbon Footprint and Scotland, Naturally. If you appreciate nature as much as I do then you'll love them.
I'm a self-taught amateur who has been pursuing photography since September 2007. I started with a Canon Powershot G9 then upgraded to the Canon EOS 40D. Current lenses are the Canon 70-200 f/4.0 IS, Canon 100mm f/2 Macro, and the Sigma 150-500 f/5-6.3. I enjoy shooting a variety of subjects but favour macro, nature and street. These days it's increasingly apparent that photography is not just a mere hobby; it's an essential therapy!

I have watched Debbie's photostream over the last year or so and I am truly amazed at her talent. She has grown so much and her photography is some of the best I have seen on Flickr. I love looking through her photos...they are both beautiful and inspiring.

Flickr is such a large pool of images and when you find a photostream that shows talent and expresses the enjoyment of the photographer for what they take then you tend to come back to it. This is such a stream, Debbie is really talented and must have either her own good luck charm or the patience of a saint (perhaps both) to get some of the shots she does - especially those at Edinburgh Zoo. It is always a pleasure to view Debbie's work and I hope I have that pleasure for some time to come.
Read lessBy far one of the best budding photographers on Flickr! Her photos are brimming with life, especially her wildlife shots. I'm rather envious of the talent she's developed over the last few years, and really see her going far in the photographic world. Keep up the great work! You're a star!
I regularly check out this photostream. Lothianlife has such warmth and depth in her photographs and it seems that she is truly developing her own style.
