Like most people, I thought Lorna Lou's pics were vintage at first. She captures such a retro, yet timeless quality in everything. She is such an excellent photographer, there's no amateur stuff to weed through here. Oh yeah, and she's a compulsive commenter like me and I really like her loads!
When I stumbled across her pictures, I thought they were scans of family photos taken 50 years ago. LornaLou is a very creative photographer and shoots a self portrait like nobody else. Keep up the good work ;-)

Even her 'darker',more brooding works have a powerful pull of emotion. Her self portraits are unique, open and warm. She invites you to share in the comforts of her home, her family, her dreams. Above all, she has a remarkable talent for mono work, creating images and techniques reminiscent of those old movies, the type that make you think "oo, they dont make em like that any more!" a loveable, beautiful, gifted artist, and certainly one of my faves! *_*

LornaLou, wow loss for words I think. I dont know what to say, other than Lauren has a real ability to take a photo today and have it look as though it's some other time. Ususally the 1950's touche' but more often her photo's are timeless. I see many people trying to encompass the times in their photo's so as to preserve the nature of the day when it was taken. Lauren can simply remove time and it's all just fine, in the photo, and to the viewer. She is such an amazing photographer, and having been the subject of her photo's, I can say her style is UNIQUE, capitalized UNIQUE. Her talent for the art is only matched by her enthusiasm. Lauren, you are by far one of the most enjoyable artists I have met, I really adore your photos, and apparently alot of other's do too! Keep on clicking Hot Rod!

What's not to say about LornaLou's work? It is obvious to me that she is someone you would love to be around. Her artistic flair shines through each photo.
