Lorens Gibb Lapinid is one of the few Heritage Photographers in Cebu. Growing up in Carcar sparked his interest in heritage conservation, the architectural details in old houses and structures were his first photography subjects.

He soon found his way into the field of arts after graduating with a degree in Accountancy at the University of San Carlos. He pursued his love for graphic design and photography, and has already various published works to date. The most notable of those are: Balaanong Bahandi: Sacred Treasures of the Archdiocese of Cebu (2010), Via Veritatis: The Life and Ministry of Ricardo Cardinal Vidal (2010) and Celebrating Milestones: 75 Years of SVD Mission at the University of San Carlos (2010). He also designed the book, Glimpses of Old Cebu: Images of the Colonial Period (2010), published by USC Press.

Gibb, as known to his friends, also volunteers part of his time teaching children the basics of photography in the annual Kids at the Museum event by the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation. He is also heavily engrossed with heritage work in Cebu, and is the youngest member of Carcar Heritage Conservation Society. He also supports the environmental advocacies of Greenpeace Philippines.

Aside from photography, he travels a lot around the Philippines; a habitué of art galleries and museums; a green thumb; and is a music buff.
