I got my first camera at the age of 6-7 I think, it was a very simple medium format camera manufactured in Eastern Germany, called Certo-phot. A fellow flickr user has some pictures of it here. After I broke it, I started borrowing my uncle's 1980 Moscow Winter Olympics Special Edition Zenit-E whenever I went hiking. It had a great 58mm Helios lens, and with this camera I learned the basics of photography. Finally, my last camera before switching to digital was an old Nikon F-401s. I delayed switching to digital quite a lot, because I couldn't afford a DSLR until the end of 2005 and didn't want to invest in a non-DSLR model before.
