MIGUEL'S SHORT BIO

Born in Madrid 1971. Lived, worked, and researched in Spain, USA, UK, France, Belgium and Sweden.

Miguel is Country Manager at FundedByMe, the fastest-growing equity crowdfunding platform in the World, and Managing Partner of BA International Partners, with access to investors and funds over 100M$. He is also a mentor at IE Business School, one of the top business schools in the World.

Previously, Miguel was Chief Operating Officer of EBAN – European Business Angels Association (Brussels). Between 2008-2010 Miguel directed the accelerator Crecer+ at Orkestra – Basque Institute of Competitiveness, and launched the business angel network Crecer+. He was also a professor of entrepreneurship in the Executive MBA of Deusto Business School (Bilbao, Spain).

Before 2008, Miguel managed the Spin-Off area of the Spanish Network of University Technology Transfer Offices (RedOTRI), worked as business consultant at Madrid’s Regional Government, and taught Spanish language, history, and economy at the University of Alcalá and Texas State University.

Miguel holds 4 academic degrees: Ph.D. in History with European Honours (U. of Alcalá), an MBA (U. of Salamanca), and a MA in American History (Texas State University).

Author of two books, scientific papers, press columns (El Economista) and blog posts.
