Oh goodness, Lulah. I miss seeing you about Flickr, it just isn't the same. Between you and Erin being more distant, it feels quite empty. ---- Lulah's photos are so, so pretty. I love the pastel-y light tones in them. They seem so feminine, yet strong in emotion. Her concepts are perfect. And I love how you can tell that everything is technically correct, too. The lighttt! And bokeh, too. Just great. All of her portraits, especially just stand out so well. Lulah is also very fun to associate with, not to mention that she's as pretty as the day is long.

You also have this way of really freezing time; really capturing the moment with your pictures, which I have such a hard time with. It just feels like I'm in the scene when I look at your work. Tallulah is a lovely creature, a faerie perhaps, and she's brought some of her magical world with her for us to see. Although she often downplays her abilities and doesn't seem to be satisfied with many of her photos, she is a creative photographer who is skilled at creating beautiful images: she knows how to set up and compose a shot to make it look particularly interesting, she's great at editing and the way she uses light in her images is amazing. Her self-portraits are varied and interesting and often impart a lot of emotion, but as she's shown by her kind and thoughtful comments, the way she speaks lovingly about her family, and other things, she isn't just good at being behind or in front of a camera; although I haven't had the opportunity to meet her in person, I can tell she has a kind heart (that is, inner beauty) and cares for those around her. She also is not afraid to show her faith, and uses songs and Scripture with her photos very well. Although there's much more that could be said, I'll end by saying that Lula is a skilled - rather than talented - photographer (I believe becoming good at photography comes from learning by practice and lots of work rather than natural talent, and she has obviously worked quite a bit at it), she's one of my inspirations on Flickr and she's a nice person I'm glad to have as a contact (but more than a contact - a friend) on here as well.

How my heart died when you went away for a while, but then you returned, with even more gorgeous photos. I honestly don't know how you do it. You're able to use lighting and location to your fullest advantage. You're actually in most of your pics, with expressions of deepest emotion that I'm sure I could never accomplish while staring into a camera lens. Lula, you have an amazing talent- I pray that you'll use it to the glory of God, and that He would give you joy even in the most stressful photography sessions. :)

First of all, I got so excited when you wrote me a testimonial :) You have no idea! You're such an inspiration to me, Lula! Your photos are so pure and genuine! and the post-processing just blows me away! I don't know how to describe it, but your photos makes me want to go to where you are and take shots there! Cos it seems so magical where you live. And I'm not exaggerating. :) The light is so amazing :) I don't care if you just say it's just post-processing, it still is amazing! :) And how could I forget about her HAIR! :D It just makes me wonder how you could change your hair like that everyday! It's so beautiful! You amaze me! I love it :) You have so much talent in you! Never put it to waste! :) And oh btw, I did have a 365 project months ago, but I stopped it cos I hated cheating so much. It just made me guilty and I lost the inspiration for a while. :( Oh! I'm not trying to scare you, it was my own personal choice to stop it cos it was becoming more of a chore, rather than a joy to me. BUT! I'm going to start on a 52 week project within this year. I was shocked to discover you didn't have any testimonials (or at least approved ones!) and since you most definitely deserve one..I decided to change that. Well..let me just start by saying....YOU.ARE.AMAZING. You have such a beautiful way of capturing things, and I'm jealous of how effortless you make self portraits seem. (Not to mention you're pretty much gorgeous) You have creativity and the talent to back it up. I often just look at people's newest few uploads, but I always check and make sure I've seen aaaaalll your new stuff. Because yes, you're just that good.
