Hello,

I am Simon Lewis and I am a woodland and landscape photographer. I have spent a lifetime battling depression and have found that my photography is an incredibly powerful tool to help me in that fight. I have dabbled in photography all my life and took it up seriously in 2013 when I bought my first dslr, a Nikon D3100. I eventually moved into wildlife photography and did this for a few years before being involved in an RTA. Although no one was seriously hurt it put me into a deep depression and I foolishly gave up photography and sold all my gear. During lockdown I realised I was pining to get back out with a camera and contacted a friend of mine who kindly helped me get back into it by giving me his Nikon Z6 that he had dropped ina lake with no lens on it but somehow we got working again (It still works today!). Since then I have been wandering my local woodlands and landscapes, enjoying nature and grabiing the occasional half decent image. I have been shortlisted two years running in the British Photography Awards and was also a finalist in the second World Landscape Photography awards, all of which I am very proud of. I hope you enjoy my images on here along with my extended ramblings that accompany them. I am not the best writer in the world but I often get positive feedback from folks who enjoy my stories! I currently shoot with a Nikon Zf and have a Nikon 24-120mm f4 lens along with a 70-200mm f4 af lens and a Viltrox 16mm F1.8 wide angle lens. I use the Nisi Swift system filters and a 3 legged thing tripod. If any of those comapanies would like to reach out to me I would be happy to be sponsered by you lol.
