I am a prairie girl born in Saskatchewan and raised in Northern Alberta.

I draw, paint and play with colour. I eventually will get back to making things out of clay. I have made art in some form or another since I was little & still do. I am always picking stuff off the ground and saving it for future use - I am a self proclaimed 'packrat' and 'magpie' that routinely tries to cull the collection of stuff.

I love to find out about and try new things, I think flickr is a wonder and I love that I can span the globe from my little place in the world, meeting new and amazingly talented people. I also love photography, printmaking, collecting, buying and sewing paper, felting, quilts that are not necessarily made of fabric, vintage dishes, furniture and lamps, weird letters, the odd and the eclectic such as other people's photographs, metal pieces, jewellery, textiles, cards, any and all design and hand crafted items.

As for the new addition of the photos, I had meant to keep this an 'art only' place but decided to talk myself into posting pics too.

My time on flickr will be sporadic as I was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer (nasty and rare) and I am undergoing treatment. Chemo is hard on the energy but i will post as I am able.

Finally finished chemo and now on to the middle phase of the surgery. After I heal from that, then radiation - Good thing the surgery is not on my drawing side!

Cancer came back between having the surgery and the radiation - told you it was nasty and aggressive - so now I go for radiation tomorrow - I hope it helps - apparently I have chemo to look forward to again.
