MTF in transition, living full time as a woman as of November 2012.

60 years young. A financial professional since 1983. I have worn many hats in that profession: stock broker, financial planner, insurance agent ... today most of my work is in tax preparation, which I have been doing since the late 1980's.

I am well educated (Ivy League) and intelligent (Mensa level IQ). I try to be classy and respectable at all times. To be honest, I probably lack the level of culture to be considered elegant and sophisticated. I am very down to earth and old fashioned.

I have no interest in seeing crude photos or receiving lewd come ons. I am interested in friendships with women like me and accepting women who were born with an "F" on their birth certificate.

There aren't many men who strike my fancy, but if you are comfortable with who you are inside and out without being vain, are respectful and kind, can be patient with someone and want to reach out to me, then by all means give it your best shot. It will help if you are reasonably close to my age chronologically and in appearance. If we aren't a match, I will be as kind as possible. I know how delicate your egos are behind that muscled exterior.

I am a very cautious but hopeful romantic. And please read carefully because this is most important, even if buried in the middle of the profile: I am a devout Christian who loves the Lord and who knows that the Lord accepts me just as I am. I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

I do not require you to be the same to be my friend, and I promise not to annoy you with proseltyzing, as long as you realize that this is part of who I am and part of my background. At the same time, I am open to questions about my faith, and especially enjoy sharing how I was able to reconcile the Scriptures with my identity.

On the other hand, I am only interested in people of like spiritual mind when it comes to relationships. I strongly believe in the concept of being equally yoked. It is a wise teaching that makes stable relationships more likely, especially when those stars in the eyes at first sight begin to fade.

In my spare time (whatever that is), I can be found reading and occasionally writing, listening to music (pretty much anything other than opera, rap or heavy metal) favoring rock/pop artists like the Moody Blues, the Beatles, Josh Groban. Billy Joel, Dan Fogelberg, Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, Anita Baker, Donna Summer, Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan, Karen Carpenter, Shania Twain and just about anything Motown or the Wall of Sound girl groups of the early sixties - really too many to mention, but that gives you an idea. I also enjoy an occasional listen to the classics, with Beethoven, Bach and Tchaikovsky among my favorites.

In general, my interests could be described as eclectic: in addition to the aforementioned music, there is sports (mostly the Dodgers these days), science, current events, or watching classic TV shows on Hulu. I miss Monk and 24 among more recent shows, and the only current show I watch is NCIS. The limited offerings from the Booth at the End intrigue me, and there may be one or two other new shows that I may sample in the future.

Wow! I just went from a bare bones profile to spilling out everything! But this is who I am. There is too little time left to waste on hiding and being ashamed.
