My photographs are characterised by the use of colour and contrast. I can wait for hours until I get the perfect shot: until the right number of scooters race through my shot at exactly the right speed, or when the number of people in the shot reflects the amount stress I am experiencing at that exact moment (= none). Most, if not all, pictures are taken outside of my home country - the Netherlands. I regard travel as the ideal way to broaden my horizons. Although traveling is, first and foremost, a relaxing activity, I do have a few goals: I want to join The Travelers' Century Club (score*: 46 of 325 countries and territories); I want to visit all New7Wonders of the World (score*: 3 of 8 (when including the Giza Pyramids)) and I want to visit all continents (score*: 5 of 7).

Vietnam is slightly overrepresented in the pictures. That's because this magnificent Southeast Asian country has stolen my heart during my first visit in 2017. I went back in 2018, 2020, and 2023, always to return to the welcoming Vietnamese people and incredible nature, and to do research for my company Easy Riders Vietnam.
