i think that Will Pickering is a thoughtful, lighthearted, historical photographer of trains. you can see his spirit really shine with youthful excitement, enthusiasm, and love when he's riding a train. as you look through his train set, you will see how locomotives each have a soul of there own. he makes them come alive in his work. there for, your heart goes out to them when they are retired, which has been the fate of many steam engines. it's sad to see them die. even if you know nothing about trains, like i know nothing about trains (blush) Will can describe in pictures what it's like to love train, and to even be a train. he captures the romantic spirit and adventure. makes you think... "gosh, that sure looks like fun, i want to go ride trains too..." Will was the first person who befriended me when i first joined flickr. he kind of showed me around, answered my questions, and was very kind and patient to me. because of his example i always try and help new comers learn about flickr. he has been a good flickr friend. thank you Will for your kindness :-)
