Local Food's mission is to help make locally grown food accessible and affordable to local communities across the country.

Part of the Big Lottery Fund's Changing Spaces programme, Local Food is a £57.5 million programme that distributes lottery grants to a variety of food-related projects.

Since the launch of the programme in 2008, we have seen an exceptional demand from communities wanting to get involved in growing and supporting locally produced food. This resulted in the programme being closed to new applications almost three years ahead of schedule.

No we are working to promote the efforts and success of those that are delivering food related projects, as well as support the food growing movement.
