Lobke van Aar (1982) is an artist. She works in the fields of illustration and graphic design from her studio in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands.

When she was a little girl she never went anywhere without her little suitcase filled with paper, pencils and markers. Today we are proud to present that she recently won the prestigious European Design Award 2011 with a series of editorial illustrations.

Lobke loves hand lettering and combining different mediums in her work. Lobke loves to think 'out of the box' without limitations or boundaries and is obsessed with focussing on details. In her day to day life it's the small things that can jump out and inspire her. She is simply fascinated by people and the whispers of the past.
