" I had this notion of what I called a democratic way of looking around, that nothing was more, or less, important. " Wm. Eggleston. My early nudge into photography would be from my Dad showing me his brick of an Argus. Fiddling with the handheld meter and turning dials, later a Mamiya-Sekor 500TL, both always loaded with Kodachrome. I have always had a camera nearby, from Instamatics to 35mm to 5X7 view-camera to digital. Early on, a smelly B and W darkroom in my family's garage bulk-loading Tri-X, and later, in my own place, contact printing 5X7 BW's from an old Voigtlander studio camera. Of my many pursuits in life, photography has continued to give so much pleasure!
I am influenced in this Art from the many Gods Of Photography: Adams, Hopper, Eggleston, and Shore to Friedlander. Most of this photostream has been taken with the Fuji X100S mirrorless rangefinder. Some are from an old Leica Digilux2 ( 5 megs. circa 2003 ) found on Ebay, and I recently acquired a Leica M9 that I'm using with a 35mm Summicron and a 75mm Voigtlander Heliar. The rangefinder addiction continues, hopefully, when I get the circa 2004 Seiko-Epson R-D1 operational! More Fun!!
