I am proud to say that I am an Army Brat; 17 moves and 10 schools. Of all the moves, my favorite was being stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA. The Pacific Northwest is gorgeous. Maine's coastline reminds me of the Pacific coastline.

I have always had a love of the camera; and loved taking pictures...and in the beginning... of my thumb! When I was younger, I loved having my photo taken and taking my own photo.

After my daughter, Madeline, started school...I, too...went back to school. I started taking classes at the local community college (NOVA). My photography professor, Gail Rehban, encouraged me and my aspirations.

My father, was a career Army officer...a Ranger. He was a man that did not praise often, but he loved my photographs...he was so proud of my work. Dad passed away July 2007...he was larger than life and I miss him...

My mother was the artist in the house. We lived in St. Bernard's Parish while my father went to Tulane to get his Masters...I remember Mom painting and we would go to Franklin Square on the weekends so she could display/sell her artwork. Mom is painting again, and her work is stunning!

My current favorite camera to use is the Canon DSLR. I have a Mamiya, but it intimidates me...I am determined to figure out this camera. I also play with a 1950s German AGFA point/shoot medium format camera....pretty good images for a plastic camera...I can't figure out the new digital point/shoot...I keep putting the camera to my eye....uh..wrong..

I love to photograph flowers, leaves, trees, landscapes, and my daughter. I have started to shoot sporting events and enjoy it...sometimes I do forget where I am standing and will have to jump out of the way when a 250lb football player is running off the field!
