To everyone else ~ Thank you for visiting my little corner of Flickr! :) Your comments & constructive critiques are very welcome! :)

I am a TRUE believer in the cliché phrase "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Since I was young, I have appreciated beauty in nature, in the face of an animal, in the giggle of a child, in the motion of water, in the stride of an athlete, in colors, in black & white, in textures, in the simple...

I believe God gave me an “eye” for this type of photography…I’ve had no training, I just snap pictures of what I see…I’m humbled and amazed that although I've been posting my photographs on Flickr less than 4 years, and have done nothing in that time to "promote" my work, that my account recently passed 189,000 views.

Growing up, I didn't own a camera. The few pictures I remember taking are when my Great Grandpa let me try his Polaroid. I remember the excitement of waiting for the picture to appear, as we waved the picture in the air! I used a Polaroid again as a teen, the couple of times my Senior High church youth group would have photo scavenger hunts in a local mall, or in downtown Philadelphia.

In High School, I chose to create a camera for a Science Fair project. It was made from cardboard & electrical tape. Imagine my surprise when I got the film developed & that homemade Pinhole Camera had actually worked! (I wish I knew where those pictures were now!)

When I finally got my first camera, on my 16th birthday, I was thrilled to be able to capture some of the beauty of God’s creation for myself. With that point-and-shoot, film-camera I took hundreds of nature pictures, mostly sunsets. Back in those days, you never knew what you had captured until the film was finally developed & you had the pictures in your hand. I remember looking through the developed pictures with amazement at the colors God had painted across the sky!

JUMP to 2008, when I purchased a Nikon D40 digital slr camera body, with 2 lenses (a 18mm-55mm & a 55mm-200mm). I took several hundred pictures that first weekend, at a hot air balloon festival.

I immediately knew this camera would change my life & prayed that it would somehow impact others! I want to live my life with purpose!

I truly hope my photography will catch your eye and draw you to Jesus, our Creator, Savior, Redeemer, & Friend!
