I am a mostly happy and well adjusted middle-aged geek. I love travelling with my partner Steve and my friends and taking lots of photos to share with everyone from our adventures. I'm particularly fond of taking pictures of landscapes, sunsets, interesting architecture, art, and men that catch my eye! Once in a great while I get lucky enough to capture some really good nature shots (check out my set of the eagles of Camano Island).

In May 2005 I bought a new Canon Powershot S3 IS compact super-zoom. I love this camera. The image stabilization and 48x digital zoom have enabled me to get some great shots. The only drawback I've found is the LCD viewfinder. It's almost useless in bright sunlight.
