My name is Lynda. I teach pre-AP Algebra II to 16 year olds one hour, and for the rest of the day I teach High School Special Ed. for kiddos with disabilites ranging from severe/profound to mild .

I am also littleloops on Ravelry.

For the Quiltie folks who want to know about me...

I'm thinking I'm going to make more pillows this year. I'd like to make some throw pillows with pink, red, grey and green for my living room sofa. I've just bought a "granny couch" for my studio which is in desperate need of pillows with a fresh, modern feel.

I like modern quilting fabrics and the whole idea of modern quilting. I have made numerous more traditional quilts and have great fondness for more traditional types of quilts. My favorite traditional blocks are Bear's Paw and any other spiky 14 inch blocks like prickly pear or hen and chicks. Churn Dash, Shoo Fly, Broken dishes, and other 9/4 patch blocks with 1/2 square triangles also really appeal to me.

I really like all colors but my favorites are pink, green, red, and aqua. I also have a thing for orange. I don't wear it or decorate with it, but I love it. I did buy orange sheets and have a couple of pink, orange, and green quilts in the works.

12/28/10 Pink, orange, green has been my favorite color combo for a couple of years now, but I'm going a different direction next year although I still love that combination, I'm going to work with more pink/red, grey/black, and yellow.

I like lots of the modern designers. I adore Tufted Tweets by Laurie Wisbrun. Fall 2011 - Kate Spain - Terrain...enough said.

Really, I like anything with a sort of modern or modern vintage feel!

I've got lots of favorites and a couple of galleries, too.
