I'm an enthusiastic amateur who wishes he'd taken this up a long time ago. I do regret not taking more photos when i was younger but i was never really interested in Film.

My interest in photography came about from designing space based digital imaging systems for remote sensing satellites and this spilled over into an interest in digital cameras and then on to what was actually in front of the lens.

After getting much enjoyment from a Nikon D80 and then D7000, I ditched my DSLR kit and moved to an Olympus EM-5 which i love to use - It's a lovely tool to take pictures with. I also have a Sony RX100 Mk1 which goes nearly everywhere with me.

I get a lot of enjoyment from looking at the images on Flickr and am constantly in awe of the creativity shown and the moments captured by people across the world.

I appreciate any constructive comments, good and bad and thanks for taking the time to look at my photostream.
