I was a writer (educational/nonfiction writer and poet) for most of my life, but beginning at age 50 (I am now 68) I revived a childhood dream of being an artist. I explore paper collage, mixed media, photography, and jewelry as well as digital art. My art has won prizes at local shows and has been exhibited at Bay Area galleries and other venues, including several World Science Fiction Conventions. I live in El Cerrito, California, with my husband (beloved fellow writer, computer guru, and philosopher) and a variable number of cats.

As an artist I am a magician, transformer, and guide to other worlds. I see landscapes in rocks and tree bark, sunsets and galaxies in the peeling paint of old cars. Using Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter, and other software, I combine photographs (mostly my own), fractals and other computer-generated patterns, and digital painting to reveal secret places within and beyond our everyday surroundings. Recent themes in my work include the spiritual/magical dimension of life and the changes wrought by time.
