My main interest in photography are shorebirds from the North and South Shores of Long Island New York; specifically the endangered species of the Piping Plovers and Least Terns, and last but not least, the threatened species of the Common Terns.

Love Lisa's work! and btw, she sells prints of her images. I bought one and love it - arrived quickly, well-packaged for the shipment - and now have it happily on my living room wall.

What can I say about Lisa's photography? Her shorebird photography on the sandy beaches of Long Island are definitely among the best I have ever seen. For someone with only 3 years experience and entry level equipment, her images rival those of any professional nature/bird photographer . I personally enjoy how she chronologically documents the life cycles of the Terns , Plovers and Oystercatchers, even to the point of giving names to many of those birds with whom she has 'connected '. The eye level views of the birds that Lisa offers her fans on Flickr (obtained by crawling on her belly for hours on end) give all of us a visual perspective seldom seen in bird photography. I know I am one of many who thoroughly enjoy her herculean efforts to photograph these wonderful, beautiful creatures and to to share her images with the world!!!! Keep 'em coming, LIsa!!!!

Lisa has been a dear Flickr friend of mine for almost 2 years now, i am so happy to have discovered her stream and simply stunning photo's! Her shots of wading birds are incredible, she has to lay on her stomach on uncomfortable shores for hours to get her uniquely touching portraits of wading bird families, the low perspective enabling us to feel like we are right there with the birds, living their life!! Lisa herself is an inspiration to me, not only in her sacrifices to get the wonderful shots she does, but also in her photographic talent, her dedication and commitment. On top of all this, she is a beautiful soul, kind, friendly and supportive! I'm so glad to have 'met' you here Lisa, and i'm honoured to call you a friend!! :-) Keep up the great work!! Love Carl xxxx
