I'm a lifelong nature lover. As a kid I was always exploring, finding pretty flowers, picking up interesting bugs and lizards, and watching the birds. My mom actively encouraged an interest in nature in my sister and myself. She also encouraged an interest in art including photography. While my sister pursued art as a career, I went in the biology direction and just kept art as a hobby.

Photography became one of my favorite art outlets because it allowed me to document all the biology/nature I was experiencing in school and at work. And while birding, another one of my hobbies. However I've never been able to afford a nice dSLR camera. I do the best with what I've got. It often requires a lot of patience (sitting/standing in odd positions) and endurance (driving a lot, walking/running/padding a lot, hours/days on a boat). I don't have as much of that I used to. I'm amazed still when I can muster it up. I think the thrill of the chase gives me adrenaline but I feel terrible afterwards. I've been struggling with chronic vertigo for 7 years now. I'm currently unemployed. I'm trying to sell prints of my photography to make a little money. I don't always feel up to taking new photos, but I have years of old photos to go back on.
