Liquene is a superb photographer who combines technical expertise with a genuine sense of humour. I've been laughing out loud at his 'Lea Goes to Ikea' series, for instance. He is a wonderful street photographer too, as his series of b&w shots taken in Florence shows. Finally, Liquene's self-portraits are a delight. They include everything from touching childhood photos, to shots of him dangling precariously from rock faces. There's even a screen grab from a computer-generated avatar of a mini-Liquene.
