My name is Lin Yu-Chung. I am now an university student and study civil engineering. My hobbies are photograhping and making models. Also it is a must for me to have a trip whenever I have freetime.

 

I have been to about 30 countries since childhood. My father loves having trips during my summer or winter vacations with all the family members. I have visited many of them for more than one time. Here is a map of the world and the red ones are the countries I visited.

Photography has always been a passion for me when I was very young. When I was 8 or 9 I sometimes use my father's compact cameras. Some of them are Nikon or Pentax, and a Leica Z2X I remembered. Then when one time I went to Taipei with my friend, I started taking pictures of civil aviation when we were going to take the plane to Taipei. Those in the pics are now all retired or left the sky of Taiwan.

 

Then when I was in junior high school, about 11 or 12 years old, I began borrowing my fathers SLR, the Nikon FM, to take pictures and go to the airport to take airplane pictures. I use my father's old Nikon FM, with Micro-Nikkor 55mm /f2.8, Zoom- Nikkor 80-200mm f/4.5, Nikkor 28mm f/3.5 and with Nikkor 135mm f/2.8 sometimes. I still use this camera with Micro-Nikkor 55mm /f2.8 and Nikkor 28mm f/3.5 today with slides such as Kodak E100VS when I go travelling.

 

Later when I was about 17 or 18, my father bought a Nikon Coolpix 995, which is very expensive at that time. However the camera is very nice and I can always take photos whenever I want. It won't cost me any, and I feel amazed about digital cameras!

 

Finally I moved to DSLR when I was a freshman. I purchased a Nikon D70 and after 2 years, I replaced it with Nikon D200. I won't change my camera in the near furture since D200 satisfies me. Here is my equipment list.
