Lill is the friend I wish I would have by my side when visit New York; walking and sharing a NY full of details, messages written on walls, voices, faces, hilarious ways of see or perceive a detail. Lill lives in New York, yes but not exactly, Lill feels NY...and in seen her photos I can feel it too, also here on the other side of the ocean...so if you didnt have the chance to take the airplane (ok if you are american its more easy :P!), just stop here. ..and you will never leave, cause she is also a very very very kind person and a great flickrfriend in sharing photos and thoughts; grazie mille Lill per essere così, una bellissima persona! It is always a blessing to meet new friends, but Lill is an amazing person that truly resonates. Lill is one of those people that really makes Flickr special. It is great to share my little slice of the world and even better when I have flickr friends like Lill that appreciate it too. Her thoughts are so insightful and clever. I am always excited to see Lill’s new work, because you never know what you’ll get.... but you will always get something full of life. I really appreciate the diversity that NYC offers and Lill’s photostream is a testament to the vibrancy of this beautiful place. Her photostream displays the many moods of the city; the collision of people and creativity; and her love of life itself. Photography is a true extension of the eye and Lill displays a keen ability to see life to its fullest. Going through Lill’s photostream is looking at the world with wonder. Lill has a vivid and creative mind, and has the ability to turn everyday things “into something rich and strange”. Sometimes she will give all the credits for that to her camera – it just came out that way! – but I don’t always believe her when she does. She has a keen eye for lines and patterns, as can be seen in her photos of bridges or buildings, and notices things that other people easily overlook. Lill finds beauty in almost everything. Just look at her “letters from the camera”, pictures that turned out rather different from what she intended to make. Her pictures of NYC are full of energy and motion. And her night shots are great, some of them dream-like, some of them are abstract and figurative at the same time, all of them fascinating. And did I mention the bento pictures? No? You must see those, too! I am sure you will then explore all the 35 or so sets too and enjoy them! Lillian, I am delighted to have you as a friend on Flickr. Yesterday another Flickr friend wrote one for me, so I thought *why shouldn't I do it too!* Choosing the person to write about... well the choice was easy! Even if being sure of things about someone you know just by photos and by exchanged comments and messages is not easy. But whatever, I state that Lillian is a great person... and not only because she laughs to my jokes! I think a her photos reflect her fresh and vivid mind, I really enjoy seeing NYC through her eyes. I also often find an artistic touch in her photos, which I like... maybe because I don't have any ;-) Anyway, passers by, take a stop at her photostream! Her photography always seems to capture the vitality of life within the “big apple” from her unique perspective; bringing me “home” every day with her remarkable images. I can’t thank her enough for introducing me to the SixWordStory group, and for her many “from the heart” comments I find on my photographs on a daily basis. Lill, you are a timeless (and apparently ageless) beauty with enormous sprit and grace.

I can honestly say that Lill is my best flickr friend…by far! As her name and profile suggest, she is a force for positive change. She has definitely been that for me! She is a great photographer (although she would modestly deny this) with a huge range of interests and styles…her bentos are in a class of their own, and she always puts something witty and funny into her masterpieces. Her six word stories are always so well written, often wryly funny and always leave me wanting to watch the rest of the film she is directing. She always has time for her friends and I get up in the morning thinking about what she might have done or said about my pictures while I was sleeping…or perhaps she’d have sent me a flickr mail. Although I have unfortunately never met her in person, she loves: Ken, Somer (now in doggie heaven!), Doozer B. Bot, Fire Island, New York city streets (preferably with grafitti or after dark!), nature and creativity…she’s a great observer and will spot things that just have to be photographed and leap out of the car window if necessary. Oh, yeh…and finally, she very beautiful and sometimes wears extremely cool hats!
