I shoot portraits and everyday photography (Project 365)

I used to be a technical writer and software enginner. Then, I was an 8th grade computer teacher. Now, I'm a wife, a mom, an occasional blogger, and a photgraphy enthusiast.

I've always loved taking photos - even back in the film days. At one point, I had a Minolta SLR, but had no idea what to do with it beyond auto mode. Once digital cameras came out, I was really hooked. I've owned a few point and shoots, a "hybrid" Sony DSC-H9, and 2011 ushered in the era of me and DSLRs. I bought my first - a friend's old Rebel XS and my first lens - Tamron 18-270mm. I've since also acquired a "nifty 50" for my pursuits.

I've since upgraded from my Rebel XS to a Canon 60D. I also shoot with my iPhone 5s.

I've recently acquired/inherited/adopted my dad's Minolta Maxxum 7000 and Nikon F I know! Jealous? I can't wait to get some of his (and a roll of my own) expired film into the Nikon F and take some photos.

What can I say? I like my toys.
