I’m never sure what to put in a profile and by the time I’ve finished listing my likes and dislikes I seem like either a complete bastard or a total lunatic - which I'm not [although I could never be described as warm & cuddly either].

Anyway, here goes..........

Flickr, for all that I love it, is peopled by many odd characters. Lots of them seemingly large men, wearing ill-fitting ladies clothes!

To that type of person, I address these few thoughts;

Many of the early photo’s on my photostream were posted to publicise the King William IV Public House , Hampstead, London. At the time that they were posted I owned this pub with my then [soon to be ex] partner.

The majority of persons depicted in those photographs dressed in female attire for commercial purposes or comic effect and, as far as I am aware, not for reasons of sexual gratification.

Please note - Whilst I am flattered by having my photos faved or being made a contact, if you've been a member since 2005 [for example] but have no images visible to me I will assume that you are just harvesting 1000's of other peoples photographs whilst posting none of your own and I will block you as a precaution against image theft or to prevent my photos becoming a part of your masturbatory collection.

Similarly, please do not add me as a contact based on the fact that my photostream contains photographs of men dressed as women, or based on your assumptions about my sexuality.

I will also be hitting the Block This Person button if you photostream contains only photos stolen from the net.

I do not welcome the addition of “badges” or other spurious awards. Add one with a comment and, again, I’ll be reaching for the “Block this Person” button. This goes hand-in-hand with my views on groups.

I do not welcome invites to add my photo’s to groups. The groups to which I belong, and to which I have contributed, were joined through choice and because their subject matter interests me. My experience of invites to a group seems to go hand-in-hand with the group admin having no photos visible in their photostream, has restricted access to their photostream or has set out a whole host of cockeyed rules for the group [“add one pic, comment on another three”, that sort of rubbish] or the topic of the group has a very tenuous link to its content.

If you are thinking of adding my photos to your galleries, don’t.

Go and buy yourself a camera, [they're cheap. Your cell phone probably has one] You don't even have to pay for a Pro Account anymore so you can take your own bloody pictures and add then to your own bloody galleries.

Easy.

As of 18th September 2013 I've had to hit the “Block this Person” button over 3000 times. Don't be the next on this [seemingly] ever growing list.
