As an artist, I collect visual impressions to share the transient and ephemeral beauty which exists all around us, human or natural, near or far across the globe. I create images to tell a story or impart a feeling about a time and place. If I help to make the world seem a bit smaller and more familiar, then I feel I have accomplished my goal.

Photography helps me to center myself mentally. I am re-energized by the creative process. It also forces me to stretch outside of my comfort zone — to seek, observe, and capture visual perspectives of the environment around me, whether in my garden, local community, across the globe, or somewhere in between.

Born and raised in Latin America, I have lived, worked, and traveled extensively, experiencing diverse cultures from South America to Asia, Europe, and America. Along with my passion for photography and the creative arts, I seek out live music and love to explore various kinds of cooking, gardening, hiking, and traveling. One of my favorite pastimes is sharing images from my recent adventures or my latest culinary delights with family and friends.
