WORDS of WISDOM
1) I have reached the edge of certainty that I shall live out my days saying not another word. My photographs will hope for a voice of their own, and notable quotes shall articulate the depth of my soul. -Anonymous (pssst ...... it was me!)
2) A traveler am I and a navigator, and every day I discover a new region within my soul. - Kahlil Gibran
3) Everyone has talent. What is rare is the courage to follow that talent to the dark place where it leads. -Erica Jong
4) Writers and artists who stay writers and artists are fundamentally salespeople. -Marc Herman (SF Magazine, August 2006)
5) My life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatsoever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations. -George Bernard Shaw
6) It is amazing what you can accomplish if you don't care who gets the credit. -Harry S. Truman
7) No tears from the writer .... no tears from the reader. -Robert Frost
8) I was seldom able to see an opportunity until it ceased to be one. -Mark Twain
9) Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. -T. S. Eliot
10) Everyone is trying to accomplish something big, not realizing that life is made up of little things. -Frank A. Clark

Michael's work is a testimony to the phrase that I have in my profile: "In a world that's going by so fast, it's important to stop and appreciate it, even freeze a few seconds of it in time." His photographs are breathtaking, an inspiration and masterpieces of art. When I saw the first shot of his work, I immediately mark him as a contact and continued to look at all his marvelous work. I'm looking forward in continuing enjoying his art! PS Sorry, my English is as lousy as my photography, it's not my first language.

Michael the Lightchaser has been one of the most important artists I've encountered on Flickr--and I initially saw his work in my first week. Three years later, he still sets the standards by which I evaluate the work of others. There is such purity involved, and the love of light and form--all with the joy of being able to bring such beauty back into the world through his images. Keep 'em coming................you're the best.

His photos are just gorgeous. The end. :-)
Lightchasers photographs are phenomenal, and the lengths to which he goes to capture them is what makes them even more impressive. I know of few people willing to wade out in mono lake at 5:45 in the morning to capture the tufa in morning light, but lightchaser shows that it is worth it. Keep photographing.
Michael, every single picture of yours is literally my favorite. I revisited your profile quotes (after 1.5 years) and now totally understand why you quoted them. As you mentioned "no tears from the writer .... no tears from the reader". I have to say whatever emotions in your photos are perfectly communicated to yo… Read more

Each one of Michael's images is a gem, carefully carved from land and light. You know an accomplished photographer when you see one. They aren't just pretty pictures of pretty places... I can tell each one has its own story, its own adventure. It would seem the light chases Michael, rather than him chasing the light... but I know better. His images seem timeless and effortless and have the same well-thought-out quality that I see in images from Galen Rowell. They are beautiful. You definitely have to chase light to come away with these kinds of gems.
