Hi.

I'm an amateur photographer.

Thanks for taking the time to look at part of my photo collection. I say "part", as I haven't yet obtained permission from the relevant people to include the portrait shots of them that I've taken.

Unless stated, all photos were taken using the Nikon D80 10.2 megapixel digital SLR camera. So, all photos have been drastically reduced in size for display here on Flickr.

My lenses include the Nikon 18-135mm kit lens, a Sigma 10-20mm wide-angle lens, a Tamron 90mm 1:1 Macro lens, and a Sigma 70-300mm telephoto lens.

My latest photography toys include a right-angle view finder to help me get lots of low-angle shots for bags of impact, and a Cokin P series filter system with graduated neutral density filters for landscape photography. Not one to rest on my laurels, I've already ordered yet more new stuff: close up filters for my Sigma 10-20 to get a macro effect while retaining a wide angle field of view. Hurrah!

January 2009 Update

My father has very recently sent his old Nikon D50 off to have an infrared filter installed infront of the camera's sensor. So, very soon I'll be having a foray into the mysterious-looking world of infrared photography. Give me a bit of time and I'll have some great-looking landscape and portrait infrared photos up on display here!

September 2011 Update

Just got my hands on a Nikon D90, I'll be using this as my main camera from now on, so I've sent my old and trusty D80 off for 720nm infra-red conversion :D

June 2012 Update
