Figure drawing is the basis of all good draughtsmanship, and for this reason drawing from life

is the foundation of Reel FX Atelier curriculum. This Life Drawing lab focuses on various

distinct elements of drawing the figure from life, initially through the simple use of quick

outline and gesture sketches to focus the artist’s mind towards achieving accuracy and excellent

construction. The emphasis then shifts to working with mass and outline in longer poses,

followed by full value drawings in a :30 pose. Instruction or orientation of new media is

provided in the first :10 minutes. Artists are encourage to work at their own pace and

experiment with new materials.

Class length is 1:30 min/ once a week.

Life Drawing lab will held with a nude model in a private setting with controlled light.

All drawing materials are provided.
