Gavin is a very creative and talented photographer. He is also a brilliant writer. His photos are completed by his writing in a perfect way. His new series of self portraits are pure art. Very intense. Very honest. Very real. Funny thing about this is that his style is absolutely different than mine... yet I can't really see his pics as 'gloomy' or 'moody'. What I see here is some of the most beautiful, intense, and satisfying photos on Flickr. Each one of his shots holds emotions and sensitivity that only he could imbue. Completed by his writing, what I see here usually makes me think, question myself and learn. I consider his stream one of those rare gems on Flickr. Because his photos are not just pictures.... his photos are almost a 'framed experience'! =)
