Do you realize 2004 was (...counts on fingers and toes, ah, crap, breaks out the calculator...) 22 years ago?! For those of us who have been around that long, I'm still out here existing. Life has flown by in the blink of an eye, but I wouldn't trade where I'm at now for where I was then. Still lovin' flowers, dogs, rocks & shells, my kid (who is all grown up!), Mr. Pibb (but I've since discovered Cheerwine, yay!), chocolate, sarcasm and inappropriate jokes...hmm, maybe not too much has changed after all. I am me, just happier. :-)

What can I say about Katie. She is a wonderful photographer and can make even the most ugly creepy crawler look beautiful. Her landscapes are gorgeous and they are only superceded by her beautiful flowers. She is a super mom, a super woman and a super friend. I am proud to call her my friend.
Katie's images are such a joy. The bright colors, macro views of beautiful flowers all work to bring beauty to dark times. Whenever I feel a little down or discouraged, I turn to Katie's work and feel her lift my spirit and reassure me that there is still beauty in the world.
