Ed catches the whisper of movement passing, stands of the precipice of consciousness - and views life from the other side. Each shot becomes an enigma resonating within the walls of recollection. Before we close our eyes, the brain registers a visual fraction of a second image and stores it into memory. Stitch those moments seamlessly together, and watch this uninterrupted stream as if it were a lucid dream - this is what Ed's photographs evoke for me. There is a sombre darkness to each of his images, but deep in between the 7 zones from perfect white to absolute black, there are so many mysterious stories waiting to be told.
