Leslie welcomed and supported me from almost day one of my appearance within the flickr community. I want her and all my friends and sisters to know how special and essential Leslie’s attention was and is for me and how it has positively influenced my development in becoming and being Julie in heart and mind. Through Leslie’s comments on my pictures day by day she was a guide to me and gave me self-confidence. I am a happy girl today thanks to Leslie’s friendship to me right from the start. Leslie is a guitar-sister and that is an extra bond. Music is her emotion and how wonderful and sensitiev she is when it comes to that. We have in so short a time become close enough to confide in each other as two women , this alone has aided me greatly. I treasure our friendship/sisterhood and despite the ocean between us our letters to each other are as if we are sitting across from each other chatting woman to woman. I have no doubts at all that we share a bond as women , a bond many women would love to have. Leslie , I thank you so much for being there , our friendship I will always hold dear. Leslie puts it so accurately about dressing appropriately. She IS the woman she IS, a real woman. You'll not be seeing her wearing clothing meant for Halloween (well except maybe on Halloween). She is really a loyal friend. She comments regularly. She responds to emails. She is kind. She knows just what to say to make you feel good, to make you feel appreciated. I am sad that many hundreds of miles separate us otherwise I think we would be out together doing girl activities on a regular basis. We share a love of music. But she puts action into her interest. I'd love to sit next to her as she plays her guitar and sings me a song. Leslie really epitomizes what having a female spirit is all about. To sum it all up into one phrase, insofar as being a woman, she is a LADY!
