I enjoy searching out memorials, in cities, towns and villages, in cathedrals, in churches, in chapels, in cemeteries, in gardens, outside hospitals, and workplaces. I like researching their history and then, if possible, finding out something about the memorial and the names listed.

My interest began in 2010, after researching my local Great War memorial. Since that time, my interest has expanded far beyond this village, and across all the wars that Britain has been involved in over the last 200 years. It's been a fascinating way to learn about the country's involvement in wars throughout that whole period, and about the architecture and development of memorials themselves..

Because of the ever changing nature of the internet, some of the links added when these pages were first set up, may not be working at this time.

In 2022, I shall be reviewing the information found on these pages.
