Spectacularly original, p r i m e r is among a select few of my contacts whose images stop me in my tracks. Over the course of a couple of years I have seen his searching self-portraits, images of urban landscapes from wild perspectives (and creepy night escapades) and breathtaking scenics both real and (how did you do that?) out of this world. In addition to this he gives considered and gentle critiques and suggestions if you ask (and a great deal of inspiration)! Keep an eye on this guy!

I've known Kevin on flickr for a few years now. In this time he has developed a major body of fine art work. Influenced by his surroundings, his subjects center around urban architecture, landscape, and motion, but never in a straightforward way. The images he creates in his mind's eye transcend traditional concepts and expectations. With his extraordinary vision, his minimalist aesthetic, and his signature gradients he creates photographs of great intensity and beauty—photos that engage the mind and the senses; that are distinct, dynamic, and unexpected. Kevin's work sets my mind free. I'm always looking forward to his next photo. Thank you for your friendship.

Kevin is in a league of his own. He's one of the few photographers on Flickr who possesses a real artistically photographic vision. Most of his work is beautifully original and completely inspiring. He's a master. = He's got the skills to pay the bills.

When I first sat down to try and write a testimonial for this p r i m e r guy, the first words that slipped from my fingers and onto the computer screen were: "this guy's photos are out of control, crazy good." I still remember when Joel Tjintjelaar (a photographer whose work is equally, out of control crazy good) first told me that I had to go check this guy's photos out. I've been checking out each and every new image ever since. But what is it about his work that is so damn good? I hesitate to spew out a long, long series of superlatives because I don't want to come across as over the top, so I will just say that I am drawn to Kevin's work for the same reasons I am drawn to philosophy and poetry-- both of which struggle with questions of how we perceive the world we live in. So, simply put, I dig his work because I love the unique way he perceives the world..

Like many people, I've been heavily influenced recently by the weird and wonderful world that is p r i m e r. Whilst he is clearly under the influence of some psychotropic substance, being controlled by a band of talented but twisted monkeys, abducted and returned by unkind aliens or somehow living simultaneously in this world and another dimension, I think he's really quite good. I spent some time the other day trying to mentally deconstruct some of his more recent pictures in a 'how would I replicate that if I had to' kind of way. After I regained consciousness, I reflected that I could see how some things were done, and not others. Of course coming up with the idea in the first place is another matter. He's also a wonderful contact, giving with his thoughts and comments. Insightful. Thanks Kevin...

Not only are his images technically superior to anything I'll ever produce, but his imagry and creativity holds no bounds. I am consistenly blown away and I find myself staring at his photos forever! I get lost in them, I try so hard to figure out how he creates them, but in the end I just sit back and enjoy. Thank you Kevin for the inspiration. You're a wonderful contact and one of my favorite photographers here on flickr. Kim

I've been wanting to write this testimonial for quite some time now, but waited. I waited because I felt I couldn't find the words then, and still can't now. Maybe that's what true art does to you: to be lost for words. I'm giving it a try now. There are only a few artists here on Flickr that really inspire me. Artists that are on top of my list for new work to check. Some of them are seasoned veterans and inspire me with their skillful use of tones and classic compositions. One other, yes just one other Flickr artist, inspires me with his originality and innovation. That one is Kevin. He inspires me with his concepts, his artistic ideas, with his unusual compositions, his brilliant use of negative space - yes it really is brilliant- and the mood he creates with it. Landscapes, seascapes, conceptual photography, and his architectural shots, they're all fantastic and original. Kevin has an outspoken view on photography, on the postprocessing, on art in general. He doesn't follow, he leads. And I am sure that the world will hear a lot more of you Kevin, no doubt in my mind. Anyone who didn't see or know his work yet, go and see it now. You'll learn from it... Joel T.

Enigmatic. Kevin's photography has this sublime element of "I don't understand it, but it kicks ass." I can say with complete confidence that Kevin has the most unique spin on photography that I've ever seen. I want to say it's a unique "approach" - but I can't, because I don't know or understand how he approaches his shots. He is pure enigma. I like to think of myself as knowledgeable on most elements of photography - or at least capable of understanding and reverse engineering them. I like to think I'm smart and self-analytical. But the fantasticness that is Kevin is that he produces imagery that evokes such thought and emotion in me that I can't understand why or how I find it beautiful - let alone how he accomplished it - yet I do find it beautiful. And that's what art is all about. And that's the highest compliment I can give.

kevin saved me from a building, got my burning cat out of a tree, then handed me a basketful of delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwiches before he flew away. twice.

Stumbling through the morass of puppy shots, flowers, ugly children only a mother would love and the ubiquitous sunset shots that pass for the norm on flickr, you do on occasion run across photographers like Kevin. It's no surprise to me that his work often goes overlooked on flickr - it's different, sometimes hard to understand, sobering and often uncomfortable - not photography that tracks easily to the top of explore. That said - he creates some of the most engaging work I've yet seen on flickr. Don't imagine that all this means he's an art-photography snob either - his enthusiasm for photographers of all walks of life and the styles they embody is infectious and I'm proud to call him a friend.

You should take a look at his photographs and you will see much more than just an image on the screen. You will have an insight into his spirit. Everything here is good.
