i was born and raised in the southwest suburbs of chicago.

i took a 35mm photography class in high school but only used a manual camera for a few years before forgetting everything i was taught.

at 22 i moved to phoenix arizona and become a slave to my nikon digital point and shoot cameras.... carrying them everywhere and taking over 10,000 photos the first year of ownership. (no cost of processing!! woo hoo!)

in 2007 i moved to portland oregon, where i now reside...

in may 2008 i bought a nikon d40. i can do minimal editing in photoshop, but i learn more each time i open the program. ... and i love photo walks.

after that i was jonesing to start a second year, but needed a small break first. a few weeks later i started a. photo countdown to my 30th birthday which was the start of my second year of project 365.

i'd love to be a paid photographer some day.
