I am a faculty member at the University of California at Santa Barbara in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department and in the College of Creative Studies. I have always enjoyed photography and nature. My parents gave me Pentax K1000 in junior high school and I started developing black and white photos in the basement (thanks Mom and Dad). Dad still has a K1000 from the 1960's with the screwmount lenses. I moved on to a Nikon N80 a couple of years ago with 24-85 mm f/3.5-4.5 and 80-200 mm f/2.8 lenses. Recently I added the Nikon D80 and I'm really enjoying the freedom that comes from unlimited shots in digital since I don't have much free time to get into the darkroom.
