Buch: Berliner Stadtbahnbögen: Fotografien der Viaduktstrecke von Friedrichshain bis Charlottenburg
Die „Berliner Stadtbahn“, eine etwas mehr als 12 km lange Hochbahnstrecke, bestand bei ihrer Eröffnung für den lokalen Verkehr im Jahr 1882 aus 731 gemauerten Viaduktbögen. Sie führte vom Schlesischen Bahnhof (heute: Ostbahnhof) zum damaligen Vorort Charlottenburg (heute: S-Bahnhof Charlottenburg) und sollte sich am Lauf der Spree orientieren.
Der Berliner Stadtbahnviadukt ist ein kulturhistorisches Denkmal, das in seiner Dimension und seiner Bedeutung für die Stadtentwicklung Berlins wenig wahrgenommen wird.
Die Bilder zeigen von Friedrichshain bis Charlottenburg Berliner Stadtbahnbögen der Stammstrecke, Stadtlandschaften entlang des Viaduktes und Menschen, die am Viadukt arbeiten, leben oder sich dort aufhalten.

I love your eye for the wonky, off-centre point of attention, the composition-defining strident line, and the frame within a frame. It feels like your images are populated with an oddball race of characters, popping up every now and then, who just wouldn't fit in elsewhere. Thanks for the pleasure of admiring your work.
