Hello and thanks for stopping by :-) To me, photography is primarily a contemplative pursuit, a way to become one with the beings, things, and scenes I photograph. The subject matter can be anyone or anything that resonates with me and gives me good vibes. I strive to create visually appealing photographs with suitable light, composition, timing, technique, editing, and printing. Some of my favourite artists in this medium include (in alphabetical order) Elliott Erwitt, Steve McCurry, Joe McNally, Sebastião Salgado, David Ward, and Albert Watson. I am also impressed with many works I find on Flickr, I fave the ones I would gladly see on my own walls. Please note, I'm only interested in the art of real photography, the hell will freeze over before I publish or knowingly fave a fake photograph generated by the so-called "artificial intelligence".

I always check the work of those who fave or comment on my photos (thank you!) but please don't expect me to automatically reciprocate. Some people on Flickr fave indiscriminately everything they can click on (random snaps, porn, boring plane and bus photos, second life images etc) and often follow tens of thousands of users just to get followers and faves in return. I find this practice pathetic and harmful to this site, whose purpose is to promote genuine engagement between people interested in photography. I only give faves following my personal taste and, besides, I want my faves collection to be manageable in size to revisit it from time to time. Also, I find conspicuous watermarks and large frames distracting, which is why I rarely fave images with such additions. The photographs that I select for repeat enjoyment grab my attention for one reason or another--this selection is of course highly subjective and is not synonymous with choosing 'the best photography' that Flickr has to offer. Having said that, my picks are generally visually outstanding (but not overcooked in post-processing), aesthetically appealing (to my eye, of course), often uplifting and witty, and ethical (e.g. not glamorizing animal cruelty or vices such as smoking).

Please, view my photos in full screen, preferably on a large monitor rather than a smartphone. If you use a keyboard, press L to enlarge a photo and press F11 to put your browser in full screen mode; to get even closer, press Z once or twice and pan around the image with the arrow keys, of course you can also pan and zoom with your mouse or trackball. For vertical photos, rotating the screen to the portrait mode (if possible) makes a huge difference.

I try to upload at least one new photo per week so if you like my photostream do come again soon. Your appreciation, questions, and constructive feedback are always welcome. Thanks for your time!
