This has been long over due. Visiting Connie's photos is such a treat to anyone that loves animals and excellent photography. So much eye candy here ! She has a unique way of capturing the personality of the animals she photographs. I am always drawn to the eyes as it's in the eyes one can tell so much. First...The eyes tell me Connie loves the animals she photographs. Second....The animals love/respect her. Her photography is magical and so many times I am in awe and so inspired by her. She always leaves wonderful comments and so encouraging and many times with a touch of humor which I love. Connie loves horses and had beautiful horses at one time . I had horses growing up but we share a love of horses. Every time I am around horses I think....Connie is going to love this photo of this horse or horses. I adore her dogs and often beg for more photos of her dogs. She brings the zoo to those of us who don't have the chance to see and learn about these amazing animals. She brings so much education and I have learned so much about the different types of zoo animals and birds. Thanks so much for your friendship and the privilege of visiting your photo stream.

Connie is an amazing photographer and a great friend. She is always there to leave such nice comments on a regular basis which I'm sure is sometimes hard since sometimes I post a lot and it is hard to keep up with me, but she does. I have told her time after time she needs to start charging the Cincinnati Zoo for her photographs because they, the zoo, should use them for their advertising. They are so amazing. It is like she talks to the animals through her lenses and makes them pose for her at will. She is an inspiration to me both as a photographer and as a person. She is amazing and I'm so lucky to have her as a friend.

For the compassion and humor with which lemperleconnie approaches and photographs wild animals, she is one of the few Flickr photographers whose work I've come to revere. She has other subjects: stunning dance studies and portraits of her daughters which are unforgettable - and equally striking composites created with her image editor. But whether it's lemperleconnie's photos of eagles, lions or Mexican wolves, the images I recall most affectionately are those of her animals. And she will tell you stories with her photos. See 'Come here loverboy!' for example, a comic indictment of male obstinacy (and desire) and female wiles (and desire) played out between a silverback and his mate all in one photograph. Or in the course of a photo series she depicts a polar bear playing giddily (there is no other word for it) with a potential mate he has just met. And after bending your funnybone with silverback antics and then eliciting your wonder at just how 'human' polar bears and other animals can be, lemperleconnie gives us a gorilla story of a mother and infant as moving as any photo I've seen ('Warmth and security'). In fact many of her animal photos emphasize the importance of family. These animals have soul. We will speak of an animal looking soulful, but how often do we credit it with soul? Well, lemperleconnie's photos credit her animals with soul and the reason is simple: For the humor and compassion which lemperleconnie brings to her creations not only illuminate the soul in her animals, they instill soul in her photographs too.

Wow, how do you begin to thank and congratulate someone whose Nature photos are some of the best that you've ever seen. Connie gets photos of wildlife in their most natural and beautiful form that can be imagined. The color, the composition, everything is so beautiful. A stroll through her stream is like walking through the Kalahari; visiting the lions and all lother wildlife that crosses her path. Since I'm fairly new at digital, I'm always paying close attention to others' work, to try and learn their style. Not just in taking the photos, but in how to portray them with appropriate cropping and to show their true beauty, and even their character. Keep them Connie, I'm taking lots of notes.........
