I came into photography through a side door. I spent my grad school days processing satellite imagery of the earth. (Just think about really large-scale digital images...) When photography went digital, I found that my schooling could be actually be useful. Today I enjoy photographing landscapes, sports, and theatre, among other things.

I am a volunteer and photographer for the (gone but not forgotten) Palmetto State and (still skating) Cape Fear Roller Derby teams.

“A Boy Named Tsunami” is my name for Roller Derby (and occasionally for other contexts as well).
