Street photography in my opinion has a big journalistic aspect. That’s what makes street photography so interesting. To me there's no other photographer that shows the enormous poverty and human suffering in the USA in such a confronting, stunning way than Robert Eugene Miller

Robert Eugene Miller's portfolio is stirring, at times hard to look at, powerfully lucid and never boring. It is a discovery for me and will serve as an inspiration. I cannot help but ask why is this occuring in such a rich country?

the pictures of Eugene Miller are a miracle. he makes thanks to these forgotten and despised peoples, he makes them more beautiful than we are, takes time with them, feels quickly the essence of their emotions. He is their friend, their confident. thank you for your benevolence.(sorry for my english)

Robert Eugene Miller is one of the best photographers I have encountered on Flickr. His body of work is consistently excellent and his work is consistently excellent. He is a great source of inspiration to me and I hope all folks give his portfolio, here, a good look.

Being a respected street photographer on Flickr and constantly striving for perfection and improvement, it is a genuine thrill to follow the outstanding street photography of Robert. Not only is his collection of street shots powerful and inspirational, they are also an important documentary of life on the streets in our age. Documenting such life is what drives my own street and social documentary photography and I could think of no greater inspiration among my contemporaries than the work of Robert Eugene Miller. Capturing the homeless and those less fortunate than ourselves is a contentious issue in street photography. There is a boundary where it becomes exploitative, yet Robert manages to document this with great respect and with such a depth of empathy that this boundary is never crossed. Outstanding street photography and each image is a pleasure and thrill to explore.
