I have been into photography since I was in my early teens. I cannot say which two events really triggered my love of photography. First my mom had a old 126 point and shoot film camera that I would borrow and take pictures with. I used it enough that it eventually broke! Second, around the same time I started with that camera, I was taking industrial arts in school. (Grade 7) We did things like sign making, silk screening and dark room developing. Photography was briefly taught as well, but it was more as a means to learn darkroom development procedures. Don't call me Ansel Adam's because I enjoyed the photography much more!
In collage I had a opportunity to go to Guyana, South America. I was broke and couldn't afford a real camera so at the Army and Navy store I bought 4 or 5 110 camera's for $3 each. I took 12 rolls of film for 2 months and found that I could shoot and shoot, but 110 was hard to find there! Thus the story of my life, too broke to afford a "real" camera (Mark III!!), but used what was at my disposal.
After I started my carrer as a computer geek, I found that I could afford a better camera so I bought my first SLR. It was a Canon Rebel G. The love of photography pushed me into some seminars to hone my skills and eventually I made the mistake of trying to go pro. (Not enough experience with money making work.) But out of that I had bought a Maymia 645 and a Canon EOS 3. I really enjoy the chance I have to use these cameras as they do so much, however it is just isn't affordable to shoot 15 rolls a day!
Daily Challenge. I was given a S3IS with the commitment of taking 5 publishable pictures a day. The challenge is now over and I am trying to get my life back on track. Life never works out as planned and I have lots of rebuilding (mentally & financially more so than physically) before taking on another year.
Moving Away! Due to a end at the computer shop I worked at; I decided to leave Edmonton for Regina, Saskatchewan!. I prefer a small town, wheat field for a downtown kind of place (Paul Brandt). I do not know the draw, but I have wanted to be in Regina a long time. I am now here! A huge and big thank-you to all my Edmonton birders and Flickerites; we will see you here! I especially want to thank Don Delaney (flickr.com/photos/donaldsducks/) for all his kindness and helping me get connected to our greater Edmonton birding community!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my photos.

My Facebook Page. More of my "pro" side of the photo work. It is where I have been hiding!!
Please do not invite me to groups! I do appreciate the offer, however I hate bulk spam. If you have a group that fits my photo's (wildlife, old time farm stuff, or the like), send me a personal note, tell me why you love the group. Thanks!
