I'm in my mid-30s (no, really, I just look 50) and, though I'm a small-town guy at heart, I now live in the 'burbs with my wife and three daughters. Photography is how I blow off steam. Just in case you were wondering!

I'm a pastor in a progressive Christian denomination. Some of my photos reflect my faith; most do not. They're just the backwash from a mind that can't stop moving.

As you can tell, there are a few gaps in my travels:

or check out these Google Hacks.

I didn't do the world version. It's too depressing.

In my spare time I like to sleep, read, write, sing (tenor), play guitar (badly) and drums (a little less badly), and staple pancakes to the sides of barns.

CONTACT POLICY

If you add me as a contact, I'll probably add you, but I will check out your photostream first. So if there's a delay, that's what it is.

If I add you before you add me, it's like Flickr says: It's because I found your photos interesting, and I'd like to know when you have new stuff to look at. If you are uncomfortable with being one of my contacts, send me a Flickrmail, and I will remove you from my contact list. There will be no hard feelings.

Just a note: I do NOT join groups which require mandatory commenting. Just another note: I ESPECIALLY don't join groups which require people to leave HTML stuff in comments. Thanks for liking my work, but I'm just not into the mandatory comments or cute little awards.

MY GEAR

I shoot with a Fuji FinePix F650. Yes, it's a point and shoot. I don't care. It works for me. Once in a blue moon I shoot with my wife's Olympus SP310--also a point and shoot, but a better one.

While I prefer to just get it right in the camera, many of my images are processed in some way. My typical photo editor is JASC PaintShop Pro 8. Old, I know, but I've never wanted it to do anything it can't do. Sometimes for simple things like cropping, rotation, and gamma correction I use IrfanView, which loads a heck of a lot faster than PSP.

Like Kendra pointed out, he doesn't miss the forest for it's trees.

My old testimonial did no justice for my electronic brother. So here is the new! Mark has a good eye for details that are normally over looked as dull photographs, such as a sunset or a strip mall. He's also very good at capturing a photograph of a person that says a thousand words. He's also got a one of a kind sense of humor. Creativity and sense of humor are two qualities I love in him, with many more.
